Nanny/Family Assistant position

We are currently seeking a reliable, experienced and compassionate Nanny/Family Assistant to begin in mid-May 2023. The position is located in a beautiful gated community just east of Rancho Santa Fe.

The Nanny/Family Assistant will be responsible for the care of one child who will be turning one years old in May. This is a full-time, live-out position with work hours scheduled from Monday to Friday. Specific start and end times for the job will be determined at a later date.

The household is considered "Casual," and the ideal candidate will be able to adapt to the household's needs and provide excellent care to the child.

We are seeking a Family Assistant who will be responsible for general childcare duties, meal preparation, laundry, and running errands. The ideal candidate should be willing to assist in all areas as needed, and must be knowledgeable about special dietary requirements, specifically gluten, dairy, and shellfish allergies.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Family Assistant should be capable of ordering groceries for the baby and family dinners, preparing 3-4 easy family dinners each week, and running occasional errands such as package drop-off. The Family Assistant may also be required to perform administrative tasks for the client's business, such as booking hotels.

The Family Assistant will also be expected to be comfortable acting as the point of contact for gardeners and housekeepers, and should be capable of organizing household help, such as a handyman, when necessary.

The position requires up to 14 overnights per year, as well as the ability to travel with the family on 2-3 vacations per year. The Family Assistant should be capable of performing light cleaning tasks, such as picking up the living room, kitchen, and baby areas, and should also be willing to assist with family laundry.
